I Walk the Grass of Continents
Poetry by Eva-Maria Hogrefe

A last rose of autumn
A last rose of autumn
Opens her face
To the moon's light--
Softly she smiles
Within herself
On her thorny bed,
And stretches--
Rose fragrance spread
